Childcare Lawyer - Local Authority
An opportunity to work in the child care team legal team, covering many aspects of children's social care work including pre–proceedings and a wide range of general duty work such as strategy discussions, age assessments, deprivations of liberty, and FGM protection orders.
- Solicitor or Barrister and proven relevant experience of fee earning work
- Knowledge of court and other procedures
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the law within a specialist area(s).
- An awareness of the importance of client care in a legal service
- Experience of advocacy, drafting legal documents and researching the law
- Ability to write clear/concise reports
- Must be IT literate
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
