We are working with a PE backed business seeking to appointing a Director of Operations. Reporting into the CEO the individual will be part of the senior leadership team, delivering the operational strategy required to grow the business.
The Director of Operations will be responsible for:
* Defining the customer journey, and creating an organisational structure, to deliver service excellence including the adoption of digital tools
* Establishing scalable customer–focused processes, standard work, and effective metrics for core operations processes, in alignment with customer demand
* Developing and implementing lean methodologies across the business
* Training and developing the team in modern manufacturing techniques such as lean
* Building the team through developing internal and recruiting external talent
* The implementation of a robust quality system, ensuring adherence and championing a culture of zero defects
* Developing and controlling operational budgets to promote profitability and investment in growth
* Partnering with the commercial teams with existing and prospective clients to help retain, grow and win business
* Building and developing strong and commercially viable customer relationships
* Working closely with the Executive leadership team to help deliver the wider business strategy
We are seeking an individual with the following experience:
* Leading operational teams within an assembly oriented industrial business (automotive, aerospace, electronic or repair / overhaul)
* Establishing scalable customer–focused processes, standard work, and effective metrics for core operations processes, in alignment with customer demand
* Developing and implementing lean methodologies in a growing business
* Building strong teams through developing internal and recruiting external talent
* Developing and controlling operational budgets to promote profitability and investment in growth
* Partnering with commercial teams to help retain, grow and win business
* Working closely with the Executive leadership team to help deliver the wider business strategy

Based from multiple sites in Yorkshire they are profitable and developing new service and product offerings to an established customer base.
