Corporate Counsel - 12mth FTC - £65-85k

FTSE-listed digital & marketing business are looking for a Corporate Counsel to join on a 12-month contract basis with the possibility of being made permanent further down the line. The position is based in Central London although the business allows a lot of flexibility surrounding remote working, as long as you are based in the UK.

Working within a busy and high-performing team, the Corporate Counsel will enjoy a broad daily remit of work. The business is highly acquisitive so there will be a constant stream of corporate/M&A matters, both transactional and advisory. You will also have the chance to get involved in day-to-day commercial work such as technology, JVs, partnership agreements and privacy advice.

The client believes this role could be taken on between candidates with anywhere between 1 to 8 years' PQE, and the level of work involved would adjust accordingly. You must have worked at a well-regarded law firm and any in-house experience (either as a secondment or full-time role), would be viewed as advantageous. Whilst someone with M&A and commercial work would be ideally suited to the position, the business is also open to considering lawyers from other disciplines (such as banking/finance, payments, regulatory etc) who are looking to make a move into more corporate-focused matters

Lawyers from other Commonwealth jurisdictions are also welcome to apply. Whilst the business is keen to get someone starting in January, they could potentially wait as long as early-March, so this opens the role up to someone who is planning to relocate from countries like Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
