As Project Accountant you will be required to work closely with both the Finance Operations and FP&A teams, looking at ways to improve processes and set up procedures for the future.

Description
As Project Accountant you will be required to investigate General Ledger accounting issues and work closely with the finance team to resolve issues and put in place processes for the future.
You will be required to ensure that balance sheet positions are fully reconciled and any recurring issues are escalated.
Other responsibilities will include:
Variance analysis
Cash flow forecasting and improving processes in this area
Preparation of a month end pack for Senior Management - covering balance sheet general ledger accounts and highlighting any issues.
Liaising with internal and external auditors regarding reconciliations and accounting matters.
Profile
My client will consider both Qualified and Qualified by Experience candidates. You must have a strong understanding of the balance sheet, as well as experience in project based roles where you have had to identify issues and solve problems.
Within this role you will be required to work with stakeholders at different levels across the organisation, so strong communication skills are key.
You must be able to work autonomously - initially this role will be 100% remote working but may require travel to the office in Kent for various team meetings on an ad-hoc basis.
Ideally my client needs someone to start ASAP but they can wait until March if required.
