Head of Finance (SME - Family owned)

This leading Northwest family owned business, and instantly recognisable brand, are seeking to appoint a Head of Finance into their Senior Leadership team (SLT). This is a key appointment to the business in a highly visible role across both the SLT and with family members, and it is important that the Head of Finance has the gravitas to give confidence to this group as a leader in the business. The Head of Finance will not only be an exceptional accountant and hands-on with company finances, producing high quality and robust financial information, they will also be commercially and operationally aware, and advise and support the CEO and SLT on the best path for the business.

The role has overall control and responsibility for all financial aspects of company strategy and is expected to analyse figures and implement recommendations based on these findings, leading to the most profitable outcomes. The role involves managing and leading teams across finance and IT, so a wider appreciation of functional and HR issues will be important. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills with all levels of staff as well as external advisors including banks, insurers, auditors and other professionals.
