Locum Lawyer/Deputy Monitoring Officer(Governance)
Senior Lawyer/Deputy Monitoring Officer sought on a full time, locum basis in Bedfordshire.
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior lawyer/deputy monitoring officer with experience in governance law to join a dynamic company in Bedford on an ongoing basis. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive support to clients on governance matters, constitutional matters and will act as the deputy monitoring officer for a major client. This role has the opportunity for hybrid working for the right candidate.

Responsibilities
Supporting clients on governance matters
Acting as the deputy monitoring officer
Supporting clients on constitutional issues
Drafting, preparing, and reviewing reports, policy and other briefing papers
Representing clients in meetings and negotiations with third parties
Supporting training and development of staff members
Supervising junior team members as required
The Candidate
Qualified solicitors, barristers or chartered legal executives with a minimum of 6 years' experience
Strong communicator with the ability to build and develop lasting client relationships
Team player with the ability to work on own initiative
Works well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
IT literate with particular expertise using Microsoft Office
Strives for high standards in their work
