If you are looking to join a world class engineering business, ideally have a background in mechanical engineering and/or capital plant sales, are IT literate and aspire to lead the sales function in such a business, then this could be a perfect opportunity for you.
We seek a hardworking, bright and motivated Sales Manager who aspires to become Sales Director to lead our Sales team to sell to our existing blue–chip customers and potential new customers. This is an exciting role, selling large capital plant (Ovens, Spray Booths, Treatment Lines etc.) across a wide range of industries such as automotive, aerospace and agriculture & construction.
As well as being able to meet annual Sales targets you will build strong relationships both internally and externally to enable the effective communication of customer expectations to our Sales Proposals Engineers. You will have your finger on the pulse of customer and industry trends and will develop a sales strategy to meet these changing needs. You must be able to see the bigger picture.
The role will involve hands on sales proposals work, leading a small team of Sales Proposals Engineers and developing partnerships with other suppliers to help deliver successful bids together, to meet ours, our suppliers and our customers objectives.
Ideally you will have experience in the paint finishing or metal finishing / treatments industry, but this is not essential. However, you must demonstrate success in partnering with customers to accurately understand their business needs, to effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations.
Teamwork is incredibly important to us and you should be able to show that you have a participative management style. You will be an excellent and effective communicator, with people on a wide range of levels. You will enjoy developing and coaching those around you with enthusiasm and respect. It will be your responsibility to manage timesheets, holiday requests and other personal matters.
It would also be beneficial if you can demonstrate the following qualifications and experience:
* Knowledge of paint finishing plant (Ovens, Spray Booths, Treatment Lines)
* Ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
* Experience leading a small team of Sales Proposals Engineers handling multiple projects, and colleagues with a broad skill set.
* The ability to use a variety of tools such as MS Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
