As a Barclays Control Business Partner, you will provide risk and governance expertise as well as provide guidance on risk and control matters. You will demonstrate an understanding of control requirements for relevant internal Barclays and external regulatory policies. This will include: Control, Issues, Risk Event and Audit guidance, advice on policies and procedures and the oversight and management of risk.

What will you be doing?
• Providing oversight, advice, challenge and support relating to issues management in respect of risk and control issues.
• Tracking, reporting and escalating (where appropriate) control issues which are off track, below threshold or which do not meet the requirements set out under the core standards
• Providing advice, education and awareness relating to issues management as part of continuous improvement and enhanced service framework
• Gathering, analysing, manipulating, consolidating and presenting data to key stakeholders regarding emerging thematic issues or potential issues
• Supporting management in the creation and delivery of Group focused RCSA, CERPA, QBR, EPT etc including the design of robust controls and assessment of risk
• Supporting effective RCSA remediation action management to improve the overall control environment
What we're looking for:
• Ability to apply judgement and balance risk v's business interest whilst ensuring compliance to all relevant policies and standards.
• Ability to prioritise and organise work activities on a daily basis to ensure key deadlines and met and business is supported
• Proven track record of influencing control environment
• Strong analytical, decision making and investigatory skills
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Problem solving and high level of attention to detail
• Extensive working knowledge of operational risk & control processes and practices, including experience in their application across functions
• Risk Management Qualification (e.g. IRM) or equivalent
Where will you be working?
You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64 acre self–contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play. We have an onsite gym, as well as outdoor tennis, football and cricket areas, as well as onsite restaurant and coffee shops. Applications will also be considered for strategic location sites in Northampton or Glasgow.
