About the role
Join our Kerry family as a Regional Director of HSE for Europe and Russia. We are looking for someone located in any Kerry location across mainland Europe and the UK, with option of hybrid working (Office/Sites/home).
Key responsibilities
As the Regional Director of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), you will provide leadership and oversight for all HSE activities and performance for the Europe & Russia region, by establishing strong working relationships across all levels of the organisation. You will be reporting directly into the Vice President of QHSE for the region, with a matrix reporting line into the Global Vice President of HSE, you will be a key leader within the regional QHSE team and Global HSE team. Directly and leading sustainable HSE programmes through incorporation of impactful processes and keeping in front of lead HSE practices.
Qualifications and skills
Qualifications:
- Degree/Bachelor of Science (or equivalent) in H&S, Environment.
- Membership of relevant professional body (HSE).
- Formal environmental qualification.
Experience:
- 5 + years' experience in a Regional Health, Safety and Environment leadership role.
- Leadership and management experience within matrix, multi–site and multi–cultural operations role.
- Exceptional communications skills with experience of influencing and engaging effectively across a wide range of stakeholders.
- Knowledge and experience in relevant HSE management systems and organizations: ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ISO 45001.
- A strong technical knowledge across relevant health, safety and environment legislation, concepts and industry and market trends.
- Experience in working in cultural transformation and change programmes.
- Experience in building networks with external peers and internal equivalents.
- Proven experience in global manufacturing organizations, ideally within FMCG, Food & Drink.
Competencies and Skills Required:
- Strong English language, other European languages are an advantage.
- People/Team management experience.
- Ability to read, understand, and decipher technical information in determining applicability to business processes.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with a variety of internal and external contacts.
- Ability to overcome resistance to change.
- Expert observation, analysis and judgement (i.e. analytical and objective mind–set).
