Business Analyst

A Multinational Energy Company based in Reading or Cardiff is seeking Business Analyst to join their team on a contract basis for 6 months. (Extension likely)

Description:

Required skills:
* Organised and professional approach
* Good IT skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office apps, Visio and ideally Teams
* Critical thinker – analytical approach; good at root cause analysis and problem solving
* Self–managing and able to work remotely, but know when to escalate to Lead BAs
* Good communication and negotiation skills / soft skills building relationships and ability to tailor approach. Must be a good listener!
* Experience in facilitation of online/virtual workshops
* Good at documenting processes and understanding functional and non–functional requirements

Desirable:
* BCS/IIBA Business Analysis Foundation Certificate or Diploma
* Experience of the UK energy industry would be helpful but is not required

Typical day–to–day tasks:
* Work with business SMEs to define problems
* Work with SMEs to draft business procedures
* Secure business agreement to problem statements and procedures
* Liaise with other BA's to ensure all problems have been identified and that there is no overlap in scope
* Assist in prioritisation and validation of problems
* Mentor junior Business Analysts
