A leading Lloyd's Managing Agent who has undergone significant growth and changes to their group structure are looking for a commercially minded individual to join the global FP&A team. Reporting to the Global head of Planning this role will be primarily responsible for bringing a syndicate entity focus to internal analysis along with owning key Lloyd's planning deliverables. Although primarily focused on planning activity the role also covers review of syndicate actuals P&Ls and supporting the review of Lloyd's submissions from the Finance Regulatory team. The core aim of this role is to centralise Lloyd's planning activity, create better consistency amongst reports and ultimately minimise external queries.
Key areas of delivery:
The ideal candidate will have several years post qualification experience gained in a London Market/Lloyd's insurer or Big 4 accountancy practice. You will need to be technically minded, understand key drivers in the insurance market and have the gravitas to deal with several different senior stakeholders.
Key areas of delivery:
- To own the production, review, and submission of Lloyd's Syndicate Business Forecasts with a view to continual development and improvement of the process
- Liaise with the Capital Planning team to resolve queries with regards to the syndicate business plan
- Own the production, review and submission of the quarterly Lloyd's GAAP Planning template including communication of the key messages with the CFO and the Finance Regulatory Reporting team
- Own the production, review and submission of the quarterly forecast for the 3 open years of account ultimate result by syndicate and underwriting team
- Responsible for the delivery of certain forms within the QMA submission to Lloyd's
- Attendance as required at quarterly peer or regulatory reviews for various submissions completed by the Finance Regulatory team
