Succession are currently partnering with an emerging VC backed D2C brand and ecommerce business to appoint a Finance Director/CFO into the business, in advance of a significant private equity investment round during 2022.The business is enjoying a period of significant growth (c£10m T/O, 100% YOY growth), and reporting to the CEO, the CFO will be a key member of the executive team tasked with delivering the ambitious growth agenda including international expansion of the brand.

- Leading the finance function for the business and building a team to provide first class and scalable financial support to the business growth plans
- Working closely alongside the CEO and executive team to develop and execute the strategic business plan
- Providing the executive team with accurate and comprehensive financial information to guide effective strategic decision making
- Establishing effective processes and controls to ensure the integrity of the company’s accounting records
- Overseeing all transactional activity, including the production of insightful and timely management information to drive the financial performance of the business.
- VAT, PAYE and Corporation Tax compliance
- Summarising budget trends, analysing deficiencies and reporting variances to the Board
- Providing external auditors with the necessary documentation and support
- Monitoring and reporting of compliance with lender financial covenants
- An effective leader within an existing senior finance role
- Experience working in a fast-paced D2C eCommerce environment is preferable
- Experience in scaling a business internationally would be prefered
- Experience in a VC or PE backed business preferred
- Excellent people skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethic
- Must be hands-on – a “doer” but experienced in delegating and maintaining a strategic view
- Fully qualified accountant: ACA/ACCA/CIMA
