RDR Ltd are working on behalf of a leading energy, services and regeneration business, who are focused on making zero carbon happen. Our client is looking to add a Business Development Director to their team, who will focus on the Central Government Sector. This is a permanent, full–time role and candidates can be based remotely, across the UK. On offer is a highly attractive package which includes, car allowance, bonus and company benefits.
Overview of the BD Director:
The BD Director will be accountable for developing the presence and understanding of the business within the Central Government sector, delivering front end business development activities to increase the quality of long term pipelines of customers.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Lead, develop and manage a pipeline of sales opportunities, meeting personal and team targets for the next 2 to 3 years
* Identify improvement opportunities to current operations, improving profitability and customer retention
* Actively manage routes to market and identify, attend and present at networking events
* Manage complex deal dialogue with external and internal clients, acting as the escalation point for any disputes arising as part of the opportunity development or bid submission processes
* Support the Bid teams in creating compelling offers to customers
Qualifications and Required Experience:
* Candidates will hold a minimum of a relevant Degree qualification
* Previous experience within Facilities Management and the Central Government Sector
* Ideally hold Crown Commercial Service and/or Private Finance Initiative experience
* An understanding of Strategic, Financial, Risk Analysis & Business Assurance systems
* Proven ability to quickly build relationships with new clients
* Track record of winning outsourced service deals in the market sector
* Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to lead teams and work under pressure to strict deadlines
* Energetic, self–confident and self–disciplined person
* Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
