The Finance Business Partner will work out of the business’s Warrington office, though flexible working is available.
The Role
In this position, the Finance Business Partner will manage the following responsibilities:
- Reporting to the FD, the role partners with the Divisional Managing Director, and requires both business acumen and strong technical skills.
- Taking full ownership of the Divisional P&L and supporting the Managing Director and senior leadership team to drive commercial performance.
- Providing high quality and timely strategic, operational, and financial support and feedback, through the provision of detailed performance insight.
- Proactively identifying and implementing margin and cost control opportunities throughout the business.
- Delivering weekly KPIs and monthly management accounts.
- Supporting the annual 3-year strategic business planning process, as well as budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Providing business support for contract negotiations, ensuring that contract proposals are commercially robust.
- Driving productivity improvements and ongoing cost control through deeper understanding of operational processes and driving of efficiency.
- Working with the Central Finance Team to ensure that working capital levels are optimised.
The business is looking for candidates with this profile:
- A Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / ACMA) with at least 3 years’ post-qualification experience, either in Top 7 accounting firm or in a fast-paced business.
- A natural commercial inclination and the ability to sense check the business rationale as required.
- Commercially astute, dynamic, and results driven.
- Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Capable of building productive relationships with senior non-finance personnel.
- Strong technical accounting ability.
