Head of Production

Exciting opportunity to become the Head of Production, leading the Shift Managers and production team within a global manufacturing business.

Responsible for all activity within the manufacturing facility, including maintenance and the PPM scheme, meeting the appropriate quality standards; manage, coach and mentor staff to become a multi–skilled and multi–disciplined team to maximise personal development whilst improving efficiency using KPI's and appraisal objectives; ensure all production records and documents are kept up to date and completed by authorised personnel; responsible for leading the Quality Management System; follow up investigations/actions arising from self–inspections, deviations and quality defects; ensure departmental budget, team and resources are managed effectively and efficiently; responsible for preparing mid– to short–term production planning; proactively look for opportunities to drive continuous improvement, influence decisions, deliver results and drive a culture of engaged employees; responsible for ensuring that all manufacturing and associated areas are compliant to GMP, Health, Safety & Environmental regulatory requirements; development and mentoring of team and core competencies/behaviours; ability to use own initiative, make effective decisions and judgements; experienced at improving production processes by introducing innovative ideas to demonstrate expert continuous improvement skills.
