We are now looking for a Director of Fibre Operations to join our busy team in Stevenage!
Work From Home Position
This is a unique opportunity for somebody who is well established in the Fibre industry. The difference between working for an Operator and for QubeGB, is that in our case the remit covers all of our Fibre clients, whilst working for an operator, similar position is limited to just the one company.
About the role:
This senior role will lead our Fibre teams – who are responsible for installation, customer satisfaction and day–to–day client communication, including supporting Client Management during pre– and post–sale.
You will ensure the correct resources are available for each project, working to our challenging Service Level Agreements whilst motivating and coaching your teams to increase their knowledge of the industry.
Reporting into the Chief Executive Officer, and forming part of the Executive Team, you will be working with our proficient team of Business Support personnel and Client Managers.
Director Of Fibre Operations Requirements:
You will be an industry expert, maintaining your industry awareness through recognised means
Ability to provide technical and managerial leadership
Experience in customer facing functions at Cxx level
You will have a minimum of 10 years Telco experience with a minimum of 5 years spent within a fast–paced fibre environment and have gained a related degree or equivalent industry recognised qualification
Ability to clearly capture customer requirements and translate into functional specifications
You will have evidence of coordinating and supporting Fibre teams to deliver and exceed required results, using your technical and managerial leadership
Understand a variety of Fibre installation methods including overhead, undergrown and multi–dwelling units. You will use your knowledge to clearly document and apply customer requirements and translate into functional specifications
Ensuring our SLA's and KPI's such as quality standards, H&S standards and adherence to customer agreements are kept
Your people skills will be strong with great communication across all stakeholders
You will monitor the work of the teams, sharing best practises between the projects to ensure we deliver the best service to our clients
You will develop a strong rapport with our clients and client liaison managers to build trust within the relationships
You will escalate issues to the client and work with them to proactively to find solutions
You will provide accurate reporting weekly and monthly into the business and our clients
You will raise change requests as necessary to continually develop our systems and processes
Have a strong understanding of asset inventory
And be able to work to a budget

QubeGB has been in operation since 2007, as an outsourced service provider to most of the Telcos in the UK. Our nationwide coverage means that we can install, repair, and optimise Broadband connections to the home. We were also the successful suppliers to the pioneering FTTH trials made by Sky and TalkTalk in their Joint Venture.
With the advent a number of AltNets, since our first installs in York in 2016, we are pleased to announce that the growth in Fibre means additional senior roles have been created.
