CEO
Birmingham, West Midlands
Are you an experienced and inspiring CEO or leader who is passionate about changing the way we treat animals and reducing damage to our environment through veganism? Do you want to be at the forefront of helping people to think differently about what they eat? Do you feel it's time to take your professional skill set to the next level and make a real difference to animals and to the environment?
To support our growth, The Vegan Society are seeking a CEO who will provide leadership to our dedicated and talented team, lead the delivery of our strategy and provide operational oversight. A highly motivated individual with a proven track record in management at a senior level, you will be managing a budget in excess of GBP5m and an organisation of more than 80 people.
As a charity, we operate differently from corporate business in many ways. You may not have experience within the third sector, but the qualities that spell success within the sector are diplomacy, great communication, and the ability to sit back and look at the bigger and longer term picture whilst also making a difference today. As a leader of an iconic organisation, you will also be a great advocate, able to inspire and promote veganism as an easily adopted and accessible lifestyle by supporting individuals, policy– and decision–makers, caterers, manufacturers, health care professionals and the media.

The Vegan Society as an organisation values equality, diversity, and inclusion. We want to be an organisation that tackles any structural discrimination or prejudice. We are actively trying to increase diversity in our organisation and encourage applications from all sections of the community. We will offer an automatic interview to all candidates who meet our essential criteria and who identify as from an under–represented race or ethnicity or as deaf, neurodiverse, or living with disability
