Head of Operations
GBP90k plus package
Based Bournemouth
A classic chilled food environment where it is all about leadership, making decisions at speed and having the ability to manage the daily activities, know where the plan is up to and make those key strategic decisions. With a strong team in place, excellent Exec support and fantastic growth across their product categories, this is an outstanding senior operations role.
The business has been successful through longevity in customers, innovation that's driven growth in on trend categories and expansion in the current customer base. With a consistent focus on customer service and quality in a deadline driven environment this is an operations role for an experienced production professional who understands the dynamics of supplying the major UK retailers.
The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for:
The leadership of the manufacturing function at a transactional and strategic level.
Knowing where the factory is against plan at all times.
Encouraging accountabilities across the production teams.
Driving optimum customer service, quality and efficiencies through the production teams.
Working closely with the teams to develop accountability and empowerment.
Working cross functionally with technical and supply chain.
You need the following experience for this Head of Operations role:
A strong manufacturing background in the food industry.
Your core discipline will be production as well as earlier roles in engineering.
You thrive in deadline driven environments and have proven achievements to display.
Your leadership ability and general presence on the shop floor is evident and tangible.
Excellent numeracy skills, able to bring factory data to life for your team.
Able to drive the production teams through understanding what needs to be done, to plan effectively and react correctly when needed to meet the daily plans and avoid surprises.
Process driven in similar environments.
Strong communication skills in complex manufacturing environments.
Pragmatic and intuitive to really understand the team, gain their respect and truly lead.
Previous examples of driving a Continuous improvement culture to deliver sustainable change.
This is a key leadership role as part of a dynamic senior team and a great opportunity for someone to make their mark in an outstanding business in terms of succession planning and future potential for expansion. Interviews to be scheduled in January – this could be a fresh start in the New Year!
