Driven by our values, Dimensions is one of the country's leading not–for–profit organisations supporting people with learning disabilities and autism. The people we support, along with their families, are at the heart of everything we do, and we aim to ensure every person we support leads a fulfilling life. Dimensions is a large, financially resilient organisation, operating in the challenging but rewarding social care sector. With a turnover of around GBP200 million and a workforce of 7.000 people we are currently improving the lives of 3,500 people.

We believe that our current strategy – Better Lives for More People – is having a positive impact on the people we support, but we can do more. We are a complex, large organisation working across a dispersed geography in a sector which is facing many challenges. As part of a restructuring of our Executive Group, we are recruiting to the exciting new position of Group Chief Digital and Information Officer. This is an acknowledgement of the part technology will need to play to ensure that the Dimensions Group remains competitive, efficient and dynamic. Put simply, we rely heavily on technology, systems, digital and data management to ensure that our organisation is streamlined and compliant with our regulators. We see our technical development and digital transformation as being an enabler to provide better lives for the people we support.

Our new Group Chief Digital and Information Officer will have responsibility across the Group for all technology provision, defining and delivering a roadmap for the future. You will set and deliver a digital strategy which will enable us to work towards our objectives. As a leader you will manage and develop the careers of your teams, ensuring that they are competent and able to deliver in all areas of day–to–day I.T., data management, cyber security and digital transformation. You will help to make Dimensions more efficient which will have a direct impact on the people we support.

We are looking for a leader who understands how and why the areas detailed above are integral to the provision of continuous improvement of our services. We are looking for someone who is forward thinking and innovative but who can also focus on the improvement of our current systems and technology. We are open to applications from different sectors, but you are likely to have held a senior position in an organisation with a large, dispersed workforce. Most importantly, you will have a clear vision for how improvements in our technology will have a direct impact on the lives of the people we support.

To reflect our ambition and commitment to be more representative in our executive team, we particularly encourage and welcome applications from people with a disability, people from minority ethnic backgrounds, and people from the LGBTQ+ community.
