We are Versus Arthritis.

We’re the 10 million people living with arthritis across the UK. We’re the carers, researchers, healthcare professionals, friends, parents, volunteers and fundraisers united in our ambition to ensure that one day no one will have to live with the pain, isolation and fatigue that arthritis causes. Our galvanised community shapes government policy, invests in cutting-edge research, and campaigns to ensure that every person with arthritis, no matter where they live in the UK, has access to the support and services they need to live well.

We are looking for a strategic leader with in-depth knowledge of charity finance and governance to join our leadership team as Director of Finance and Corporate Resources. Working closely with the Chief Executive, the wider leadership team and the Board of Trustees, you will ensure the operations of the charity are fully aligned and that we have a clear financial strategy that maximises the impact of our reserves and ensures our future sustainability. You will also make sure that we are a well managed charity, leading on improvement, governance, commissioning and technology.

This role requires a clear thinker with exceptional interpersonal skills experience who will provide confident leadership to support the organisation as it continues to evolve and who will be able to shape, develop and inspire a multidisciplinary team. Importantly we are looking for someone with a strong commitment to our work, our values and our Equity Diversity and Inclusion principles. We want diversity and inclusion to be at the heart of everything we do and have made a commitment to increase the diversity of our charity where we are underrepresented. We particularly welcome candidates from Black, Asian and Minority ethnic backgrounds, and those who have lived experience of a long-term health condition, either personally or through a close connection.
