Junior Legal Counsel
An excellent opportunity has arisen at a fast growing Fintech for a lawyer who is NQ-3PQE.
The Company
The company is an exciting start up supporting small and medium sized businesses all over the world to take and manage their payments with ease. They have strong values putting their small business customers at the heart of what they do.
They launched last year and currently employ over 1000 people and are continuing to grow.
The Team
The legal team is highly talented, consisting of experienced Magic Circle trained lawyers. There are also two paralegals supporting the team. Currently the team size is 15 and they are seeking two junior lawyers to expand the team.
The Role
As this is a brand new role, you will have the opportunity to make it your own. As a general guide the work will include general corporate, M&A, commercial contracts, IP and regulatory work.
They are open to a lawyer who wants to specialise in one area, or who wants to be a generalist in-house counsel.
The Requirements
There is a fantastic training programme in place, and really supportive senior team members, therefore they are open to seeing lawyers who have qualified in any corporate commercial area. Ideally you will have trained at a Magic Circle, US or Top 50 city firm.
It is anticipated NQ-3 PQE is the right level for this role, however they are open to seeing candidates outside this range.
In-House experience would be ideal, perhaps as a secondment during your training contract or after qualification.
The Benefits
The office is based in central London and is a typical exciting fast paced start-up environment. They offer agile working, although for the initial training it is expected you would need to spend more time in the office, long term you will have a good work life balance and be able to work from where suits you.
As well as a competitive salary and bonus, you will be eligible for share options.
