Description
Legal Counsel will be responsible for:
- Providing efficient and pragmatic legal advice and guidance on a wide range of relevant company, commercial law and IP issues to the commercial and leadership teams of the organisation;
- Identifying and managing risk;
- Drafting and negotiating agreements which maximise revenue potential while minimising legal and commercial risk;
- Supporting the organisation's contracting processes;
- Assist the rest of Legal Team as required;
- Support post-completion and post-signature activities such as record management and enforcement of contractual terms;
- Assist in reviewing and updating template agreements; and
- Work proactively in order to embed Legal Affairs standard operating procedures
Profile
The successful candidate will:
- be likely to be a UK or Common Law qualified lawyer with at least 2 years' of PQE.
- have a strong intellectual property (IP) and commercial law background and previous experience either in private practice or in-house working in a demanding environment.
- have a broad, solid and generalist legal experience and be capable, with minimal supervision, to advise primarily on IP and commercial law matters and, in general, a broad spectrum of legal matters, including corporate law.
