Our Compliance Testing business which sits within 'Operate' delivers risk, controls & compliance managed services solutions to a portfolio of globally recognised brands. We bring together highly skilled technical capabilities, sitting alongside an unrivalled technology offering and operational power, to provide a high quality and cost effective service offering.

We are seeking an experienced and energetic individual to take a senior leadership role to help lead our Controls Audit service tower based from our new Merchant Square office in Belfast. This business sits under our Compliance Testing service umbrella and helps clients to run their management testing functions, for example as part of SOX compliance, sitting alongside as a managed services partner.

The successful candidate will have an opportunity to put their stamp on the strategic direction of the business aligned to our ambitious growth plans and working with an unrivalled, global and x–industry client portfolio.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support our team to disrupt, improve and evolve our Controls Audit service offerings.

  • Arrange and sponsor appropriate assignments and experiences to help people realise their potential and support their long–term aspirations.

  • Look for opportunities to scale efficiencies and new ways of working across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Specifically, key responsibilities will include:

  • Take an active role in ensuring our business is fit for the future, working with senior leadership on strategic direction and growth ambition.

  • Maximise our business performance and people experience.

  • Support our delivery management team to provide relevant, cost effective and process efficient solutions that meet client needs and objectives.

  • Understand regulatory requirements (and changes on the horizon) and ensure our business is prepared for these along with any new opportunities to support our clients.

  • Maintain and evolve our frameworks and structures to service client programmes with metrics and a reporting framework to accurately articulate performance to clients, enhancing the reputation of PwC and our clients through efficient and high quality service.

  • Develop capacity and capability to deliver a highly skilled, high performing, efficient and sustainable workforce by working collaboratively with enablement teams (resourcing, recruitment, capability and development, and people experience).

  • Inspire those around you to think broadly and laterally, leverage the combined capability of the wider PwC Operate business and constantly challenge the status quo with pragmatic solutions.

  • Handle conflict sensitively but firmly, providing leadership and resilience in equal measure.

  • Contribute to the wider Operate business through collaboration with colleagues, owning or sponsoring key initiatives and reinforcing the Operate culture.

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Experience of operating at director level in an audit or assurance role.

  • Prior experience of working for a big 4 / mid tier firm in an audit or assurance practice.

  • Demonstrable success as a senior leader and of managing and developing large high performing teams and delivering excellent client services.

  • A track record of success setting up and running operations, demonstrating strategic outlook, commercial acumen and business planning.
