Financial Controller - Equity FD Designate

Tremendouscareer opportunity for a high potential graduate qualified accountant (likely c 3-7 years PQE) seeking their firstno1 Finance role with Equity prospects going forward.

My exclusive client is a v fast growing (over 50% t/o growth each of last 3 years) owner managed niche B2B Services SMEbased in Manchester, boastingan expanding national Blue Chip client base.

The founder/MDis looking to recruit his first in-house FC to operate as his "Finance Business Partner" with the plan for the successful candidate who "makes their mark" to be formally promoted to FD within c 12 months and be granted Share Options/Equity incentive in the business at that point.

The brief:

• Establish a lean and efficient in-house Finance function.
• Provide sound financial control and reporting.
• Proactive cashflow management.
• Develop MI/KPI's to support well informed decision making processes.
• Develop the overall business infrastructure to facilitate the ongoing successful growth strategy.
• Act as direct point of contact to all professional bodies - Bank, Auditors, Tax authorities, Insurance, Professional Advisors and potential Investors.
• Provide a "sounding board" to the MD re the robust appraisal of new business initiatives/opportunities.
• Develop the scope of the role to become FD/CFO to go on to play an influential role to achieve the sustainable top and bottom line growth of the business in order to maximise the enterprise value with a focus on a successful exit strategy within the next c 5-8 year period.

Candidate profile:

• A bright, "switched on" graduate calibre qualified accountant on their upward career trajectory with the confidence and ambition to throw themselves into securing this rare opportunity at this stage of your career - likely c 3-7 years PQE.
• My client confirms previous related sector is NOT important; the "right" person with the hands-on, "make it happen" mentality and approach will be the key factor in his selection.
• Therefore, applications are welcomed from strong candidates, who are technically sound allied to well developed operational/business skills, who areeither ACAqualified in Practice and now moved out into Industry/Commerce or CIMA/ACCA's having gone straight into Industry/Commerce from Uni.

In return, my client offers a competitive starting salary package up to c £70k + Bonus/benswhich will be reviewed on making the step up to FD/CFO in the medium term.
