WHAT YOU'LL DO
This role is part of the Future Finance program - Finance Operations and Accounting workstream. Future Finance is a multi-year transformation journey to prepare the Finance function for the BCG of the future: a BCG that continues to grow, and a BCG that has become more complex, more diverse and more interdependent. By rethinking structures and standardizing processes across geographies and business entities, we will make it simpler and more efficient to work together and flex to meet the needs of BCG.

You will be part of the Record to Report (RTR) project team which is leading review and re-design of BCG's accounting processes. This is a time bound project with clear outcomes that will also feed as requirements for the new financial system that BCG plans to implement in 2022.

With this role, we are looking for a trusted and experienced finance professional to provide project support to the RTR Process lead in the review and re-design of accounting processes relating to Revenue and Cost accounting.

BCG's business model is becoming very diverse with addition of our ABMs like Platinion, Gamma, DV, Inverto etc. With changing business model our processes and systems to capture inputs for revenue and cost recognition will also need to evolve. This role will closely work with Process lead to explore the nuances of each of our businesses, drive assessment of current processes, pain points and design best in class process which is much more simplified and highly automated.

In addition, you will be responsible for:

* Providing support in understanding current state of the processes and mapping against the suggested to be Model, determining any process improvements
* Map agreed processes into design tools or frameworks
* Provide support in delivery of materials for workshops and review
* Proactively engage and collect relevant data from stakeholder groups, ensure their inputs are taken into account and manage expectations
* Support stakeholder reviews include SME groups and workshops
* Support with functional design of new processes aligned with new finance core applications
* Assist with implementation of new process including change support and planning
* Manage timely delivery of workstream outcomes
* Work with other process areas to ensure a fully integrated solution

YOU'RE GOOD AT

* Good working knowledge of BCG (Global or local) Finance
* Good understanding of finance processes across BCG esp. exposure to Client project management will be preferred
* Strong interpersonal, communication, influencing and networking skills
* Ability to work across finance organization at all levels
* Ability to build processes which balance effectiveness and efficiency
* Inclusive team behavior, generosity in sharing knowledge and demonstration to help others
* Able to work with stakeholders across different geographies
* Able to apply program and project management approach to deliver change successfully
* Strong documentation and presentation skills
* Good problem solving, analytical and interpretive skills

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

* Professionally qualified accountant or MBA or other advance degree
* 10-12 years of post-qualified experience in finance domain
* Experience in a Big 4 accounting firm preferred
* Excellent attention to detail with the ability to unravel complex accounting issues
* Good communication skills
* Accuracy and organized approach on issues
* Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
* Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise
* Advanced Excel skills and/or experience with other analytical tools (Such as Tableau, Alteryx, etc.)

The RTR project team is comprising of ~10 people across Boston, London and India which is a mix of Future Finance program team and Global Accounting and Controlling Team. Your key stakeholders will include Heads of Finance, Accounting managers, Business Unit finance leads located across the various BCG local offices.
