Security Systems Engineer – Stevenage, St. Albans – GBP26,000 – GBP33,000 (OTE: GBP38,000 – GBP45,000) + bonuses, benefits & overtime.
Concept Resourcing have a huge opportunity available to work for a leading organisation within the fire & security sector. We are recruiting for a Security Systems Engineer to join their national Detection division where you will be field based working across Stevenage to St. Albans providing service support for both corrective and routine maintenance functions to the commercial security systems.
Who would you be working for?
You would be working for a market leading organisation in the design, development, supply, installation, commissioning and through life servicing of intricate systems in private residential, commercial properties and public sector organisations.
What are they looking for from a Security Systems Engineer?
As a Security Systems Engineer, you will be field based, reporting directly to the Operations Manager. You will be required to service and maintain verticals such as Intruder Alarms, Emergency Lighting, Access Control Panels and other platforms.
The duties to be carried out by a Security Systems Engineer include:
You will be required to attend sites and carry out regular maintenance of security alarm and detection systems and carry out any relevant fault finding on client sites.
To meet prearranged target times for intermittent inspections.
Ensure clear and concise communication with the service desk regarding customer issues.
All reporting documents to be carried out and reported to the service desk promptly.
To always present a professional appearance.
May be required to work outside of normal geographic business unit area to provide sickness, holiday and workload cover.
Support the rota schedule as required.
Personnel
Experience of fault finding and servicing Security Systems.
Hold current qualifications or have relevant experience in Security Alarm Systems.
Full UK Driving Licence
Must have knowledge of Intruder, CCTV & Access Control systems for both the reactive maintenance and preventative call outs.
Able to read prepared plans and technical sketches.
Must be able and willing to participate in out of hour's standby and call out rota.
Hours of work
Monday to Friday: 09:00 – 17:00
Call out rota:
1 week in 5
Paid at GBP1,000 circa per month on top of basic. (GBP12,000 /annum)
