Systems Engineer

World Class Defence Organisation based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire (Some remote working will be possible) is currently looking to recruit a Systems Engineer subcontractor on an initial 6 month contract.

Hourly Rate: The Company are offering excellent rates

Contract Duration: 6 Months initially and then ongoing

Security Information: Please Note you must be eligible for SC Security Clearance (unfortunately due to security restrictions for this role, the candidate will need to be a British National with no dual nationality and must have resided in the UK for at least 4 of the past 5 years).

Systems Engineer Job Description

This is an opportunity for a systems engineer to support developing technologies. This is a role where good communication is vital for ensuring that the proposed options are correctly understood by the stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

System Design activities in support of the SPEAR3 F–35 Launcher Firing Unit functional development, including:
Requirements Analysis
Architectural Design
Interface specification
Sub–system Requirements Specification
Dependability Analysis
Skillset/experience required:

Experience:

Systems engineering lifecycle from requirements capture/approval through to proving, planning and certification
Software requirements specification
Agile systems / software development
Safety–related systems / software development

Knowledge:

Air–launched systems using MIL–STD–1760 / UAI
Safety–related systems
DOORS (essential) / Rhapsody (desirable) practitioner
