Head of Financial Reporting based in Birmingham
Your new company
This is a very unique opportunity to join a medium sized (£300m) business during a period of significant change as the Head of Financial Reporting. The business are creating a new finance function from scratch and this role will lead on the development of the new team and culture.
Your new role
Reporting into the Group Financial Controller you will lead the financial reporting team taking ultimate responsibility for all accounting and reporting activities for the Group to both internal and external stakeholders. This will include the completion of the management accounts and statutory accounts ensuring they are completed to a high standard and to appropriate deadlines. The post holder will also be involved in some corporate finance activity, including potential M&A. There is a strong succession plan in place for this role so candidates will need to me strong technically but also commercially aware with the ability to step up into a broader role in time. The role will lead a small team and will be responsible for their development and growth.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA) and the role would ideally suit candidates trained in a Big4 or Top10 accounting firm or candidates with significant financial reporting leadership experience in industry.
