Business Development Manager

Please note this role will initially work on a consultancy/day rate basis for 6 months

RECRUITMENTiQ is working in partnership with a provider of Quality Surveillance, Inspection and Engineering Recruitment Services to the Oil, Gas, Nuclear, Utilities and Renewable Energy sectors.

The business invests the necessary time to listen, understand, visualise, and realise the needs of their clients.

The business is looking for a skilled Renewable Energy Business Development Manager to lead the business goals and objectives.

The Role

The newly recruited Business Development Manager will oversee developing business strategies and day–to–day operations to guarantee company efficiency. The role will be based in the UK which will consist of office and remote working.

You will be responsible for identifying suitable renewable energy project opportunities for development and/or acquisitions in the market by liaising with local authorities and networks, consultants, service providers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and identify new opportunities for the growth in current prospective markets
  • Conduct client meetings to build and maintain a strong professional network whilst proactively developing the business
  • Act as focal person of the business to promote the business
  • Assist Senior Management in establishing the company goals and objectives
  • Design business strategies and plans to meet company goals
  • Make sure that the company has sufficient resources such as personnel, material, and equipment
  • Maintain relationships with partners and clients
  • Represent the company in events, conferences etc.
  • Engage with clients/ customers face to face
  • Ensure all company activities adhere to legal guidelines and policies
  • Assess overall company performance

Skills and Experience

  • bachelor's degree in business management or other related fields is preferred
  • Knowledge in Solar, Wind, Energy, Storage, Hydrogen, Grid and Hybrid.
  • Techno–commercial experience of renewable energy projects (particularly solar and wind) and your existing experience in market segments will be vital
  • At least 10 years experience in a management position
  • Outstanding leadership abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of the latest business policies and regulations
  • Demonstrate analytical thinking & business insight
  • Must be proficient in common PC software (MS Word, MS Excel, databases, etc.)

Working in a fast–paced environment with talented and motivated colleagues you will develop a robust pipeline and drive market share by securing new business opportunities while nurturing and developing relationships and opportunities with existing clients.

Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills are vital for this role, as good teamwork is important for business success. Business Development Managers shall also be excellent written and verbal communicators and possess the ability to identify growth opportunities.
