The Role
A progressive organisation in the Wrexham area with a reputation for excellence, are recruiting for a Head of Engineering to be primarily responsible for implementing engineering strategy and strategic operational goals to exceed customer expectations for product development, quality, cost and delivery, maximising efficiency and driving engineering excellence.
Responsibilities of the Head Engineering:
* Overall responsibility for Engineering activities across the business
* Create and implement best practice engineering vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance
* Ensure that engineering strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality and delivery targets and which enables the company to function and compete effectively in the market
* Evaluate the challenges faced by the business and take action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities
* Contribute to overall business strategy and annual budget process
* Take ownership of the engineering policy, guidelines and any associated documents
* Provide leadership to departments under control and coach, mentor and develop direct reports and manage a high performing team that delivers continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions
The Candidate
* Relevant degree in Engineering.
* Fully IT literate, in Excel, Word and AutoCAD
* Industrial Engineering Experience, preferable in FMCG
* Self–motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline–driven environment
The Package
* GBP80,000 – GBP90,000 per annum
* 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
* 8.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday
