We are looking for an Engineering Director to join our TPG Maritime Ltd team in Portsmouth. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a forward thinking team, who are working on sharing innovative solutions or manufacturing bespoke engineering systems.

The Role

This Engineering Director position sits within our bespoke engineering solutions side of the business, where we develop life–support systems that work in critical applications. Our systems are highly complex and ruggedized, generating oxygen & hydrogen and capturing carbon for the harshest of environments and precision engineering of high–integrity equipment.

As the Engineering Director you will take technical accountability for all products from inception through to delivery resulting in compliant, safe and reliable solutions meeting all relevant regulations, directives and other similar codes of conduct. You will be responsible for promoting best practice and implement fit for purpose tools and techniques across the business.

You will be a member of the Leadership Team within this role, reporting to the Managing Director, and therefore will be involved in setting the company strategy, developing the future engineering and technology road map.

About You

To deliver this role you will have a background within and Engineering Leadership position, ideally in a manufacturing or production environment, possessing a professional accreditation in your specialist engineering area. You will have a track record in developing and implementing strategic and business goals. As a leader you will have demonstrated your ability to develop and grow their capability and productivity. You will be someone who has strong communications skills, both with the internal team and external clients, with an ability to develop relationships and networks.

* Candidates will need to undergo an internal BPSS check prior to gaining site access.

* Candidates will also need to either hold a current SC clearance or be willing and eligible to undergo a Security Clearance check (SC level) upon starting their employment with the company.

* To gain SC clearance you will normally need at least 5 years' UK residency
