We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager for one of the region's leading civil engineering contractors.
The company already have a good market share within their chosen sector having achieved year on year growth for the past five years, delivering multiple major projects and long term frameworks alike.
They have a very healthy order book for 2022 and beyond and wish to capitalise on their success by penetrating into additional sub sectors within civil engineering and expanding their geographical footprint into other regions within the UK.
With this in mind, they wish to appoint an individual able to demonstrate a solid track record within business development and bid management. Ideally, with a proven background and understanding of civil engineering, construction or a related industry.
Working in calibration with the Managing Director, the successful individual will draw upon the company's excellent reputation and internal expertise to create and implement a business development plan to achieve the aforementioned.
Duties will consist of but not be limited to:
* Managing, writing and preparing pre–qualification submissions
* Managing Tender Submissions
* Writing and producing Tender Quality Submissions (Quality question responses, technical responses, Tender Stage Method Statements etc.)
* Producing and delivering high quality presentations for marketing, prequalification and tender purposes
* Assist with public relations, advertising programs, corporate identity development and implementation, special events and market research activities
* Liaising with the estimating team during tenders
* Obtain feedback on tender submissions and implement improvements
* Represent the company with clients, the public and the wider civil engineering industry
