About the role:
We are currently looking for a Junior System Designer to join our team and partake in the development, verification and delivery of cutting edge digital and RF Electronic Solutions, as well as other products across QinetiQ's Portfolio.
The Junior System Designer will be responsible for designing, developing and verifying electronic systems, supporting integration and test activities. You will work with Senior Designers across multiple disciplines to achieve desired hardware outputs and work with Team Leads and team members to minimise risk and highlight uncertainty.
We have a number of exciting products and projects underway currently and this is a great time to come on board and play a key role in the development of state–of–the–art technology solutions.
What I will be doing:
The Junior System Designer will deliver compliant and safe technical solutions in accordance with customer and business requirements, to time, cost and quality.
You will be part of engineering project teams in the definition and execution of effective design, development and verification plans of work from bid stage through to delivery.
The Junior System Designer will ensure requirements are effectively managed on projects (through derivation, flow down to sub–teams and sub–contractors, and the verification thereof).
You will support independent engineering reviews and generation of design certification.What do I need?
The Junior System Designer should have a degree (1st Class / 2:1) in a relevant discipline.
You must have some experience in the design, development and verification of electronic systems.
The Junior System Designer should have an understanding of the typical qualification, verification and acceptance approaches.
You must be willing to learn about all technical levels from system to component level design, to equipment build and test.Why join us?
