Financial Controller Job, Liverpool, £55000 to £60000. Successful Import & Distribution business.

The business plans to expand it's wholesale and customer service functions extensively in the coming few years and if success comes then you will develop into a Finance Director.

Your new role
As Financial Controller you will manage a small team to deliver accurate monthly management accounts and analysis for the business.
A key part of your role will be strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting as well as controlling working capital - especially stock.

This is a hands on role so you will oversee all ledger reporting and ensure monthly balance sheet reconciliations are completed.

As the business grows, this role has scope to develop into a Finance Director position.

What you'll need to succeed

You may be an experienced Financial Controller, or this may be your first Financial Controller role.
What is more important is your experience of managing a small finance team and of demonstrating experience in budgeting and forecasting.
You must have experience of dealing with a stock or inventory environment and the accounting controls surrounding this.

You will be a qualified accountant with the ambition to help a business to grow and make the right commercial decisions. You will be a critical friend to the MD.
