You've be working for Artex at a National level. Artex are one of more than 30 exciting Saint–Gobain brands in the UK. Today, Artex operates as an essential supply partner of building materials to home improvement retailer's decorator centres and merchants. The company focuses on delivering excellent customer service, providing a specialist multi–drop distribution service, and offering a wide range of products for both the trade and DIY markets including decorative finishes, building materials and specialist tools. The extensive product range is continuously developed to meet the needs of today's demanding market.
The Business Development Manager position is a new exciting and key role that is central to the growth plans of the Business Unit. You will work in partnership across the Business Unit to deliver profitable growth and raise the profile of Artex.
What will I be doing in this role?
Work in partnership across designated Business Units, to deliver profitable growth and raise the profile of our Artex, ensuring all customers have a great experience in working with Artex and through working with all functions to develop and leverage the scale of the Business Unit.
Key day to day duties include:
Build strong external relationships senior stakeholders within the industry
Hold and Deliver upon agreed sales & customer targets
Development of Contact and Engagement Plans
Understanding how the customer operates whilst developing a strong network with key stakeholders.
Understanding customer growth plans and providing proposals of how we can add value with our Saint–Gobain product portfolio and flexible service options.Requirements
What skills are we looking for?
First and foremost, we always want to recruit talented people that align well with our values and way of working; this means that we are open to applications from all Saint–Gobain businesses and would welcome you to apply if you can demonstrate the following key skills:
Experience selling into National Builders Merchants or DIY Retailers is key
Experience in Field Based roles across multiple customer channels
Experience of driving new business
Experience of negotiating and handling objections
Motivation to secure and increase sales orders through existing and new business
The ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
Able to organise and manage workload well
Tenacious and driven with the ability to work towards achieving sales targets
A proven track record in acquiring and servicing external sales and business opportunities, often managing multiple projects at once
Strong commercial and financial understanding coupled with a professional and intelligent approach to capitalise on potential profitable business
A full driving licence as the role comes with a car and will require you to travel around the Business Unit
