Purpose of Role

Through strong and professional thought leadership, provide strategic direction on talent, learning, career and leadership development. Ensure the company develops, retains and engages employees to deliver to their highest potential.

Responsibility

Develop and build the overall talent function and strategy that is aligned to the business strategy and can be measured to show the impact and return on investment.
Develop and manage the performance management process across the organisation ensuring it is aligned with the company culture and values and is delivering the right performance outcomes.
Develop and implement a strategy surrounding Talent & Succession planning and roll this out across the organisation making sure it is fit for purpose. This will include role mapping, organisational development work and designing and implementing talent management programmes for all employees.
Oversee the development, delivery and regular review of the Talent business plan, budget planning, and workforce plans.
Lead the development and delivery of strategic leadership development programmes for all leaders, aligned to the long–term objectives of the business.
Lead the development, implementation and embedding of succession planning practices, talent management and development programmes across the business to enable it to fully utilise the potential of its people and meet future and changing business needs.
Lead the development and delivery of coaching and mentoring capability, championing the benefits of coaching, mentoring and sponsorship.
Enable and ensure the development of interventions focussed on improving line manager competence and capability.
Lead the effective implementation and measurement of management potential and capability, building a management assessment and development programme.
Oversee the development and innovation of all aspects of the competency and behavioural frameworks.

Critical Skills

You will have a track record defining and implementing global L&D and Talent Strategies as well as being comfortable rolling your sleeves up and delivering against plans.
Experience of building a Talent infrastructure from the ground up.
Experience of managing people and working directly with senior stakeholders.
Flexibility and pragmatism and the ability to deal with ambiguity.
Ability to lead continuous organisational change and development.
Able to proactively develop team dynamics and performance, ensuring quality standards are consistently achieved.
Demonstrable experience of managing projects and delivering successful outcomes.
Good knowledge of developments and expertise in learning, development and talent.
