Rare opportunity to take an In-House role as a Property Litigation Solicitor.
Company -
Our client is a very successful private equity and national property group, with HQ offices in Southend-on-Sea in Essex and also with an office in Mayfair. The company is a large freeholder, residential landlord and has various other business interests both here in the UK and in the US.
This is a chance to join the in-house legal team, including strong paralegal and secretarial support, to work across a broad range of the varied litigation work that arises across the group.
A Property Litigation background is going to be advantageous as examples of the day to day work will include applications made under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 and Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002, claims pertaining to service charges, insurance, breach of lease and disrepair, and possession claims for both residential property and commercial property, as well as broader general Commercial Litigation as it arises for the various group companies. There will also be the opportunity to manage Right to Manage matters, cases involving forfeiture, and lease extension and enfranchisement matters so you will gain a broad portfolio of experience.

You may already be working in an in-house capacity, or you may be working in private practice at the moment but wanting a change and perhaps have always thought about a move in to an in-house role at some point in your career. The challenges and the breadth of the role are certainly very different and in an in-house role you get to see the end to end picture on a daily basis.
You will be highly organised, entrepreneurial, solutions-focused, and commercially aware.
There is a strong salary package being offered, and there is also the opportunity for flexible working, perhaps a hybrid arrangement splitting your days between being in the office and working from home.
