We are delighted to be representing a leading international law firm that are recruiting an Associate Insurance Litigation Solicitor for their Dublin office to work in the busy insurance team.

The insurance team defend claims against a broad range of professionals. In addition, they provide coverage advice to insurers, in both the London and Irish markets, and handle insurance disputes on their behalf.

Your new role

In this role you will contribute towards a challenging and varied liability caseload under supervision, including interacting with clients, attending settlement talks and running cases to trial.

The role requires provision of expert legal advice, underpinned by a sound commercial understanding. The insurance team defend claims against a broad range of professionals. In addition, they provide coverage advice to insurers, in both the London and Irish markets, and handle insurance disputes on their behalf.

The Insurance team provides expert coverage and claims defence services to both international and domestic insurers and their insureds. In particular, they advise on professional liability, financial institutions' liability, directors' and officers' liability, public and employers' liability, transactional liability and trade credit claims. Advise on property damage and environmental liability claims and are leading experts in the marine, aviation and transport sectors, advising on all aspects of transport-related claims, representing International and domestic insurers.

The team also provides coverage and claims defence to both international and domestic insurers and their insureds and advise on professional liability, financial institutions' liability, directors, officers liability.

What you'll need to succeed

• 0-4 years' PQE defendant insurance experience.
• The ability to apply a commercial approach to claims in order to deliver economic solutions.
• To be proactive and take initiative.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage own time, excellent organisation skills.
• Strong technical and research skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload of low to medium value claims and to work with senior solicitors on high value claims.
• Coverage experience, whilst not essential, would add significant value.
