Interim Head of Business Partnering

Blackfriars/remote 2 days a week
£500 per day depending on experience

Ignata Finance are working with a highly acquisitive travel company in Central London to recruit a brand new Head of Business Partnering. This is a newly created role, due to continued growth and the need for a dedicated commercial finance function to support the business. You will lead this function and be responsible for providing analysis, insight and support for decision making, process improvements and delivery of the organisation’s strategic objectives. You will strive to add value to the business, with the sole aim of improving the team’s performance and efficiency across the board. You will partner with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and possess the ability to influence decision making at the highest level of the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with, support, influence and challenge assigned profit centre heads providing ‘real time’ support and analysis.
  • Support Divisional heads with budget compliance and hold regular finance reviews with department managers members, analysing variance to budgets and forecasts
  • Supporting Finance Directors and Departmental heads on aspects such cost savings, synergies, transformation, and integration
  • Various project-based activities including assessing and review new business functions.
  • Full responsibility for the Budget process and liaise with Group to meet tight deadlines
  • Lead the production of rolling Quarterly forecasts for P&L, building out from existing model into a model that is fit for multi-user input, strong functionality with integrity of data and accuracy.
  • Provide weekly Dashboard analysis tracking performance to Targets
  • Create business models and scenarios for business cases.
  • Lead a culture of continuous improvement, suggesting and implementing improvements to systems and processes
Skills and Experience
  • Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Travel related background preferred
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple concurrent tasks
  • Commercial and organisational acumen
  • Ability to communicate clearly and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong data analysis and forecasting and modelling experience
  • Stakeholder Management - Manage and influence stakeholders
  • Strong Microsoft skills
