Team Overview:
The International Private Bank (IPB) Operations platform supports our Private Banking business in Asia, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and Latin America from our hubs in Geneva, Edinburgh, Singapore and Mumbai. Our Operations team provides strategic support, keeping our firm running to the exceptional standard our clients expect.
The role
Business Management optimizes operations performances by helping to drive key initiatives. We act as trusted advisors and counterweight to operations leaders. The role of a business manager is dynamic and can vary from business to business, in line with the priorities of the different lines of business.
This role will be a part of the International Private Bank Operations Business Management team. The successful candidate will be working in conjunction with our EMEA Operations teams in Europe including Client Operations, Investment Operations, Tax Operations and Credit Operations, and will be based in our hub in Edinburgh.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities associated with the Investment Operations activities:
  • Providing assistance to the daily management of the team and preparing ad–hoc presentations for senior management. Provide a high level of responsiveness to executive ad–hoc requests related to project management, presentation development, and business analysis. Communicate effectively with key business partners to understand projects and drive next steps
  • Organize complex information in a strategic and compelling way, demonstrating strong design acumen and expertise in Excel and PowerPoint techniques.
  • Preparing agenda, coordinating follow–ups for the management meetings.
  • Coordinate team activities and prepare materials for town halls, employee recognition, and strategy working sessions.
Responsibilities associated with all the PB Operations activities in Edinburgh and London:
  • Participate in collaborative initiatives with team members and global managers, looking for ways to continually simplify, improve, and add value to existing processes. Being the point of coordination for any cross functional business management projects involving the EMEA Ops teams across all parts: Investment Ops, Tax Ops, Credit Ops, Onboarding and Projects. Areas of focus will include:
    • People Engagement
    • Communication
    • Recruitment
    • Real Estate
    • Headcount management
  • Collect and maintain internal resources and documentation on collaboration sites such as SharePoint.
Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication, organization and project management skills
  • Proactive mindset, self–motivated, tenacious and able to work with high degree of independence
  • Flexibility with different types of tasks and unforeseen, ad–hoc projects
  • Ability to be a team player and/or individual contributor
  • Organized with good time management skills
  • Strong analytical & problem solving skills
  • Comfortable working with large sets of data and numbers
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint are essential
