Our public sector client are looking for Business Analyst on an interim basis of up to 12 weeks, to work as part of a core team working on the foundations of a new national Ophthalmic Service.
This role has a day rate of GBP234 – GBP269 per day (inside IR35 umbrella).
Due to current requirements, this role is remotely based.
The programme team will work across multiple directorates with in the in NHS and Scottish Government establishing the framework for the Community Glaucoma Service (CGS), Low Vision Service (LVS) and supplementary elements of General Ophthalmic Services (GOS) for Independent Prescribers.
The CGS and LVS will follow along the lines of the Enhanced Services methodology that exists within General Medical Services. Scoping work will be required to assess implications for procurement, development of systems and IT, Infrastructure and annual support costs for business as usual activities based on the requirements across the 3 projects.

Key skills required:
- Educated to degree level, and be working toward or have completed the BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis or had equivalent training
- Experience of working as a Business Analyst preferably within a Health Care environment
- Business analysis. You can investigate, analyse, and articulate complex problems and concepts based on available information. You can identify, define and manage requirements to enable agreed changes to be implemented effectively.
- Business modelling. You can represent real–world situations to aid communication and understanding of different scenarios (existing or conceptual) using a variety of tools and techniques.
- Agile Working. You will know about agile methodology and can work in a fastpaced, evolving environment using iterative methods to enable rapid delivery.
- Methods and tools. You know how to use the most appropriate methods and tools in your day to day role as a Business Analyst.
- Stakeholder Management. You can communicate with stakeholders clearly and effectively using appropriate engagement techniques.
- User focus. You understand users and can identify who they are and what their needs are. You can translate user stories and propose design approaches or services to meet these needs.
