This is an exciting time for resource management at Roke as we build on the professionalism of our people and work closely with the business to develop and implement Roke business and people strategy. The Resource Team works at the centre of the business to assist the company in being more agile and providing the right people, on the right projects, at the right time.

To enable us to deliver our strategy, we want to attract a resourcing professional with demonstrable experience in:
• Operational resourcing of people and skills within a technology–focussed organisation (not recruitment)

Key Responsibilities:
• Working with project and account managers to capture demand for people and skills and provide timely and profitable resourcing solutions.
• Maintaining customer funded utilisation and support to wider productivity, whilst balancing the needs of the individual, customer and business
• Work with and challenge the BU Delivery & Sales teams on the prioritisation of live projects and bids.
• Be a champion for good housekeeping inside the Roke Project Forecasting System (PFS), the business winning process and good behaviours.
• Assist with the development and implementation strategies for addressing both under and over utilised employees..
• Work with the HR team and Heads of Engineering to assist in accommodating career development, training and welfare issues.
• Identify and escalate instances where process is not being followed and business risk is increasing.

Expertise:
• Experience of resourcing in Professional Services, or similar technical matrix organisation industry (ideal)
• Conflict resolution and problem solving
• Stakeholder management
• High level of prioritisation/organisational skills and excellent time management

Knowledge and Skills:
• Relationship Skills including communicating, influencing and senior stakeholder management
• Developing and sustaining long term relationships with key stakeholders in the business units, and all areas of business and corporate services.
• High degree of resilience and a self–starter
• Proactive with a positive, flexible and assertive attitude.
• Able to work within tight deadlines and a fast changing environment.
• Strong ability to liaise, influence, challenges effectively and builds relationships at all levels.
• Proactive and creative approach to problem solving.
• Effective team player with an ability to develop personal networks through strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Good judgement, balancing the needs of the individual, customer and the business

Technical competencies
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office in particular Excel
• Previous use of dash boarding tools such as QlikSense or PowerBI is desirable
• Experience of MS Teams/Microsoft 365 applications
