Temporary Careers Partner

One of our most impressive clients is currently seeking a Temporary Careers Partner to come on board for 3 months to map out the career ladder for the Editorial department. This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to work with one Oxfordshire's best–known employers.

This is the largest department in the company consisting of 500 employees. Currently they do not have any processes or 'career ladder' structure for staff to follow or even know what next steps are available to them for applying for open vacancies or promotions so you will be responsible for creating this.

Temporary Careers Partner Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

Building awareness and driving submissions (to both internal/external stakeholders).
Using communications toolkits, social media assets and other marketing methods to build relevant, engaging content to assist with the launch of submissions
Coordinating and promoting educational webinars and other events to target researchers
Actively collaborating with subject matter specialists across the business and internal teams to understand client needs and requirements
Providing support to platform and/or gateway advisors, regional teams and the wider Marketing team as required
Assisting with running of campaigns as needed, adapting and optimising marketing activity
Temporary Careers Partner Experience

The client is aware this is an ambiguous role however it is essential to have had experience mapping out careers for internal departments as well as the following:

Key areas of focus:

Learning and development
Organisational design
Succession planning
The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience in design career pathways for internal teams
Experience with succession planning, organisational design and learning and development
Able to communicate effectively and build rapport easily
You will be a quick leaner and be passionate about completing the project to a high standard
Able to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
Experience in editorial or publishing beneficial but not essential

Location

The client is based near Abingdon (OX14) with parking onsite, however hybrid or remote working is available.

A few things to note:

Starting ASAP, you will be able to work remotely, hybrid or go to their offices. The working hours for this position are flexible, starting from full time Monday to Friday (35 hours per week) to a minimum of 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

The role is temporary, paid on a PAYE basis via the Allen Associates weekly payroll.
