As part of their continued growth and development, our client is seeking an ambitious individual to step into a challenging leadership role. The Water Operations Framework Director will be responsible for the delivery of financial targets and increasing profitability; driving operational excellence within regional management and field teams; effective stakeholder management and relationship building, ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing our field teams whilst leading incremental and step change to ensure 'high performing teams' and absolute delivery. This role will also support Business Development to achieve business strategy, including opportunities to develop existing and new services, sectors, and clients within a designated region.
The Role
* Leading a team of senior managers; role modelling leadership and our clients' behaviours to continually deliver efficient and effective services and operational activities through geographically dispersed field teams
* Be a champion of safety standards, team development and best practice across all projects and day–to–day activities
* Accountable for profit and loss (P&L) and fee generation within the designated region. Identify, manage, and mitigate contract and operational risks to realise and outperform operational and commercial opportunities
* Establish and develop key client relationships to maximise existing and future opportunities to meet our short, and medium–term growth objectives, and work closely with all stakeholders to profile our capability and experience, to support new, repeat, and cross sale business opportunities
* Coach and develop the regional management team and hold ultimate accountability of training and competency processes; ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulation, and company procedures
* Lead and support regional teams to deliver their KPIs, including exceeding the budgeted level of revenue and profit, delivery of progress reports to the MD on operational performance and business initiatives, in line with regional plans that support the overall operational and commercial strategies
* Champion, lead and support a continuous improvement approach to change management of operational standards and processes
The Requirements
* This position requires a proactive, self–starting mindset that will make things happen and take ownership of end–to–end delivery of projects and initiatives to realise and support this ambition.
* Demonstrable success in leading operational field teams and client relationship management with a strong track record in the commercial leadership, delivery of services to budget, profit, expectations, and client satisfaction
* Extensive senior management experience, with strong involvement and demonstrated capacity in operational delivery and business growth for a professional service organisation
* Experience in leading P&L accounts and sound commercial acumen
* Experience in business change and realising/implementation of digital transformations of service
* A true problem solver who can manage conflict through co–operation and influence with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with a range of audiences
* Sound understanding of the water and/or wastewater industry, utilities infrastructure operating within regulatory and compliance standards would be advantageous
* IOSH/NEBOSH qualified
* 2:1 or higher undergraduate degree in a relevant subject
* Full UK driving licence
