HOURS: Full Time, Permanent Contract

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced senior Procurement Leader to head up and lead our procurement function, build upon the foundations of an experienced team of Procurement specialists, and drive our buying strategy to achieve company targets through compliant, sustainable, and competitive sourcing of product, services and materials.
WHAT OUR HEAD OF PROCUREMENT WILL DO:
Create, develop, implement and embed robust procurement strategies to align with business goals and objectives
Leading a Procurement Function and team to ensure that procurement processes enable profitability and competitive pricing to be achieved
Establish and monitor supplier performance
Review and production of supplier policies and contracts
Provide leadership, direction, development and motivation to the procurement / purchasing team
Facilitate effective, efficient stakeholder management and obligations to be met
Take responsibility for the review and production of legally binding documentation to secure compliant, competitive, quality sources to fulfil business needs
Establish, agree and maintain purchasing policies
Ongoing reviews of Suppliers and Supply Chains to ensure any new strategic suppliers are engaged with and developed effectively
Leading regional team compliance with policies and procedures ensuring controls are in place to minimise exposure to risk, including protection of customer confidentiality, commercially sensitive information, compliance, and relevant regulation
Acting as a conduit between Procurement, Suppliers, and the wider business
Reporting to C–suite stakeholders
Analysing and developing procurement metrics
Developing an existing KPI suiteWHAT WE REQUIRE FROM OUR HEAD OF PROCUREMENT:
Previous experience within manufacturing is essential
Current knowledge of up to date, relevant UK business and procurement specific legislation
Sound commercial acumen
Previous experience of procurement processes, systems and IT capability
Proven negotiation and influencing skills
Excellent supplier management and relationship development expertise
Proven experience of leading and developing a team of procurement professionals
Industry experience/experience of working with a trade branch network could be an advantage, but is not essentialWHAT WE OFFER:
