Opus Northamptonshire on behalf of North Northamptonshire Council is looking for an Executive Assistant/PA. It is a full time, office– based position in Kettering.
As an Executive Assistant to Diector you will be responsible:
* To manager the diary and making appointments as appropriate.
* To support the Assistant Director by ensuring that they are always fully briefed and prepared for all commitments and meetings, including the preparation of any agendas and minutes of meetings.
* To act as the initial point of contact for all incoming communications where appropriate.
* To update, develop and maintain the office information systems and procedures.
* To provide a comprehensive and confidential typing, secretarial and support service to the Assistant Director.
* To undertake research on behalf of the Assistant Director as required.
* To carry out other duties at the same level of responsibility, as required by the Assistant Director.
Essential experience:
At least 2 years experience of working in a high pressure environment.
Experience of working in a secretarial environment.
Experience of Windows based office software: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook.
Education and training:
2 'A' Levels/ Level 3 NVQ or equivalent.
Special Knowledge and skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, acting persuasively and with diplomacy.
Ability to work proactively.
Excellent keyboard skills.
Highly developed literacy skills.
Ability to work calmly under pressure.
Flexibility in an environment of change.
Excellent organisational skills, with an ability to prioritise conflicting demands.
Touch–typing keyboard skills.
Ability to work effectively when unsupervised
