Strategic Land & Programme Manager

We are currently recruiting for an experience Strategic Land & Property Programme Manager in Solihull on a 12–month contracting basis.

You will be working directly with the Council and will be responsible for the definition and maintenance of the strategic development programme and the sub–projects within the programme, reporting on progress, risk, resource, and cost management.

You will undertake the programme management of the strategic land and development programme which includes Property Investment, accelerated housing programme, schools assets, support programme, corporate land programme and building design studio projects.

To work collaboratively with the Strategic Land and Property Management Team, operating a matrix model to jointly manage project delivery through the Project Management function drawing the required project milestones into alignment with the SDP.

Experience Required

Educated to Degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline e.g. Construction Project Management / Project Management

Professional Membership of appropriate body/working towards a Professional Membership e.g. RICS

Experience of leading, directing and motivating multi–disciplinary teams.

A considerable and demonstrable track record of managing strategic property development projects from inception through to completion

Significant experience operating at a Senior level in project planning, programming and contract management.

Knowledge, understanding and application of project management techniques and applications (e.g. APM/Prince 2)

Experience managing and controlling large capital and revenue budgets

Good knowledge and understanding of Planning and Building Regulations.

Experience of working within local government would be desirable
