A large affordable housing provider require an Interim Property Compliance consultant to join the organisation to lead on all safety and compliance matters within the Asset management Team.
This consultant will be solely responsible for advising on all corporate property compliance with the focus on Health & Safety (H&S) duties as a landlord, employer, maintenance works and construction client.
It is expected you will undertake a strategic approach to the effective management of property related compliance activities, including gas, asbestos, fire, water, electrical, and mechanical safety, and be able to implement an active asset management strategy
Key Project Duties
* Procurement support (ad–hoc)
* Compliance and Audits checks – Fire / Asbestos / Regulatory / Compliance / Gas / Electrical including annual check and challenge
* Planning for Compliance
* Policy and Procedures checks including review of the H&S Policy
* New legislation compliance / regulatory framework
* Delivery of the capital programme (planned and future)
* Review Design work on infrastructure programme – including the retrospective fitting works
* Strategic Design Programme (and Partnership)
* Ad–hoc site drop in – on site check and challenge
* Strategic Planning around H&S including identification of any gaps
Essential Candidate Requirements
* experience of defining strategies, in relation to compliance procedures.
* This Position will be reporting to the executive team of Directors
* Expert Knowledge of Health and Safety client for CDM – Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
* Construction & Compliance related experience
* hold NEBOSH / IOSH Certificate in Health & Safety or property related specialisms and ideally (although not essential) have experience of working within a social housing environment
