Linde Material Handling is part of the KION Group, one of the world's leading manufacturer of forklift trucks, and other warehouse and material handling equipment.
Focussing on customers with material handling fleets in excess of 30 units, the role of the Business Development Manager is to find and win new customers by identifying opportunities and completing all elements of the sales cycle, from prospecting to order processing, selling the full Linde proposition.
Working with other key stakeholders, the main target is to grow market share on new and used trucks by converting prospects into new customers before passing the account to Key Account colleagues following a successful hand over period.
Reporting into the Director of Business and Sales Development, the Business Development Manager will be working as part of a UK team, with a dotted reporting line into Linde's region Central.
The Business Development Manager will operate mainly within a geographic region, but must have the flexibility to travel throughout the UK depending on the requirements of the customers.
Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes
The ideal candidate will need to have drive, self–management, resilience and lots of energy. This is not an account management role and candidates need to be self–motivated to generate and manage their pipeline.
You will need to have experience in new business sales and ideally experience of selling cap–ex equipment. Experience in sales of material handling equipment would be an advantage, but is not essential, and someone with knowledge of working in a related field may be perfectly suited to this position.
Linde Material Handling offer a competitive, uncapped, commission–based package. The successful candidate will be provided with a company car or car allowance
