A large healthcare organisation is looking to appoint a senior commissioning professional, this person will hold experience across Urgent and Emergency Care pathways.
Main Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver specific commissioning programmes relating to Urgent & Emergency Care for the locality;
Take responsibility for the planning, implementation, and delivery of a range of QIPP/FRP projects, ensuring results achieved are in line with the financial and operational plans agreed;
Develop and implement, in partnership with localities, clinically driven and owned changes to service pathways which maximise quality, efficiency and outcomes, and support the strategic direction to increase care in the community;
To co–ordinate system resilience for the local systems, including surge and winter planning;
Manage demand and capacity to support the understanding in patterns and trends of historic use of services, as well as the future needs of the population, in order to plan and secure effective services for the population within available resources;
Deliver specific acute performance targets for the local systems, taking a robust programme management approach;
The role supports the business in driving transformation as well as value for money in planning, commissioning and service delivery;
The role is designed to build a combination of subject matter expertise and technical skills to develop a strong service delivery.
A successful candidate will have:
Extensive knowledge of commissioning, acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent work based experience;
Significant specific commissioning expertise related to the delivery of Urgent and Emergency pathways;
The ability to coordinate system resilience cross system, including knowledge specifically on surge and winter planning.
